In Ireland, honoring Aine is traditional on the summer solstice. The solar goddess Aine becomes St. Anne over time, but her day continues to embrace the joy and radiance of this longest day of light. Enjoy a meditation and stories about Aine and a ritual in which we will bless seeds and send them forth with our hopes, dreams, and visions of the future. Dinner will feature dishes that celebrate summer (think watermelon, garden salads, hand held sandwiches, cold soup), hopefully picnic style, followed by a labyrinth walk with the theme of abundance. To close, we will have a bonfire to celebrate the light.

The retreat leader is Ayn Cates Sullivan, Ph.D., a local award winning and best selling author. She holds a master’s degree in spiritual psychology from USM, and a master’s and doctorate in literature from Columbia and University and King’s College London.
