Healing Grief Retreat

Leaving the Retreat on Saturday evening after a beautiful day, blessed with deep and heartfelt conversation, I felt a lightness in my whole being from the program led by Mary Polce. In the Healing Grief Retreat we talked about words we can leave behind, so nothing remains unsaid to our loved ones. Mary Polce helped me to see that I could begin now to leave a legacy of love by writing letters of hope and encouragement to my family. No matter how old we are, we can begin to thank those we have loved along the way. In the program, she led and in her book, Nothing Left Unsaid: Creating a Healing Legacy with Final Words and Letters, Mary gives practical guidance for expressing the love which is the reason we feel the grief. By acknowledging our own grief for those who have died, we understand that leaving words of comfort behind us may be the path to healing the suffering of those we care about most.
